ANALISIS KESULITAN BELAJAR PERKALIAN PADA SISWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI 01 KAMPUNG BATU DALAM

Abstract
Abstract : Many students face difficulties in learning multiplication is an issue that needs attention. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause difficulties for grade V students at SD Negeri 01 Kampung Batu Dalam in learning multiplication. The approach used was a qualitative method through interviews with grade V teachers. From the interview results, several factors were identified that influenced the difficulties experienced by some students. Internal factors include lack of motivation in learning, low concentration, and fear of multiplication lessons. In addition, there are also external factors that contribute, such as a less supportive learning environment, lack of opportunities to learn, and lack of attention from parents. As a solution to the difficulties in learning multiplication, the teacher applies a learning strategy that involves card games and utilizes the memorization method with Jarimatika. With this approach, it is expected that students can more easily understand and master the concept of multiplication.
Abstrak : Banyak siswa yang menghadapi kesulitan dalam pelajaran perkalian adalah sebuah isu yang perlu mendapat perhatian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 01 Kampung Batu Dalam dalam pembelajaran perkalian. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif melalui wawancara dengan guru kelas V. Dari hasil wawancara, teridentifikasi beberapa faktor yang memengaruhi kesulitan yang dialami oleh sebagian siswa. Faktor-faktor internal meliputi kurangnya motivasi dalam belajar, konsentrasi yang rendah, serta rasa takut terhadap pelajaran perkalian. Selain itu, terdapat pula faktor eksternal yang berkontribusi, seperti lingkungan belajar yang kurang mendukung, minimnya kesempatan untuk belajar, dan kurangnya perhatian dari orang tua. Sebagai solusi atas kesulitan dalam pembelajaran perkalian adalah guru menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang melibatkan permainan kartu dan memanfaatkan metode penghafalan dengan Jarimatika. Dengan pendekatan ini, diharapkan siswa dapat lebih mudah memahami dan menguasai konsep perkalian.
